For photographers, headbands can become an obsession and I am on the verge!  They add the sweetest detail to newborn photos.  In case you can't tell, I also have a thing for blankets, quilts and beautiful rugs.  These textiles add layers of color and warmth to any session.  Our studio wouldn't be complete without them!

Your comfort is important to us.  We have soda, water and more importantly, smacks for the kids!  We hope you feel at home while you visit our studio!

hello!

MY HUSBAND

PUGS

My best friend set me up on a blind date to another friend's wedding in 2005. That blind date turned into my husband in 2013 :).

My family has a thing for pugs, or really any dog with a smashed face! After losing our 15-year-old pug in 2022, we decided we needed another. Palmer fit in quite well and she was born 2-22-22. I can't forget to mention Diggy, our Pekingese-Shih Tzu pup.  She's small, sweet and 13-years-old!

#BOYMOM

On Joe and I's first wedding anniversary, we brought home our first baby, Braxton (now 10-years-old)!  In December 2017, we gave Braxton a late Christmas gift, a little brother, Jordan, who is 6.

EDUCATION

I have a BA in Journalism and have worked as a photojournalist for a newspaper, and high school photography, journalism and English teacher.

BUSINESS

I have been in business since 2009.  My first studio opened on Front Street in Washington, in 2013!  I have been blessed with loyal clients and tons of memories!

As the Second Shooter at all Photogenics' weddings, Janelle works alongside Dana!  The two of them are like Peanut Butter and Jelly, and have been since 2010 - just ask any former POL couple!  Janelle also helps organize photo gear and keep the wedding day running smoothly!

Brenda has the least glamorous job of the team but oh so important.  As Studio Manager, she works with clients to ensure they have the best experience with the studio.  If you have session questions or need assistance booking, she's just an email or phone call away!  Brenda also has amazing marketing ideas and keeps the studio organized!

As the "Baby Whisperer"......Laura assists with most newborn sessions.  She's here to soothe, swaddle and ensure baby safety and comfort during all poses!  She also helps with tasks around the studio and has great ideas to make the space efficient!
