So this sunset outdoor session contains some of my most favorite people on the planet! They have been friends of mine for years, and I love watching their boys grow up in front of my camera. Sometimes shooting my family and close friends is challenging but not with this group. It was such an easy session, and I’m obsessed with every single picture. Their cute pups make a cameo, and even they were a joy to photograph!
Pets are part of the family, and I encourage clients to bring their four-legged friends to any and all outdoor sessions, whenever the location allows it. For example, Klondike Park is a yes, but Shaw Nature Reserve is a no. I can let you know if the preferred location is pet friendly when you book. They are welcomed into the studio too but given the size of the space, it can be tough for them to settle down at times. You know your pet best and if they are a natural in front of the camera, bring them along!!

Just look at these two boys! Kids are comfortable in the outdoors and if you throw an antique quilt on the ground and ask them to interact, you might see some magic begin to happen, magic captured in images that parents will cherish for life!
These sessions are the perfect time to take some individual shots of mom and dad, along with the kids.
Feel free to bring other props also. I can supply blankets or quilts, unless you have a family heirloom you want to feature. It is so cute watching big brother read to little brother. Do you think they act like this all of the time? 🙂
