Ali and Ian’s Romantic Day!
We always love shooting a wedding in a new place – it helps spark our creativity as wedding photographers! So, it was a wonderful surprise when we found out that Ali and Ian were to be the very first wedding at McKelvey Vineyards in Leslie, Missouri. And let me tell you, this new winery was the perfect place for the most romantic day!
The farmhouse, where the couple got ready, was recently renovated with such historic charm but also mixed with modern flair. Most importantly, the lighting inside the house was beautiful on all three floors. It is a photographer’s dream! In addition to the incredible lighting, the home’s accents worked as the perfect background for pre-ceremony photos. Also, it is obvious that brides and grooms are important to this venue. The home design provides utmost comfort to the wedding party. Ali was able to have some privacy while getting into her dress on the second floor, while Ian and the groomsmen were able to hang out comfortably on the first floor.
Their love is captivating!
Ali is one of the most genuine and happy people I have ever met. Since the day she called me about availability, I knew there was an instant connection! I don’t think she knows a stranger. She makes everyone feel so important. Ian is her perfect match, and I love that his eyes were always on her, with a big smile on his face. I honestly can’t say enough great things about these two without making their story sound like a cheesy fairytale! Their connection is something I loved documenting! It was a one-of-a-kind McKelvey Vineyards wedding!
One fun fact about their wedding day – Ali and Ian planned a trip to the casino with their friends after the reception! What a fun idea! Janelle and I really wanted to tag along, but we figured they had seen enough of us that day! Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Tyler!!!
