Brittany & Nick’s Engagement Session in New Haven, MO
A small town engagement session has no better backdrop than New Haven, MO! It is one of the few places that I never have to worry for photo sessions. There is always a beautiful location in perfect lighting, and the people from this area are so warm and welcoming. When Brittany mentioned she and Nick wanted to do their photos in her hometown, secretly I was hoping she would be ok with the brick building below. It’s one of my favorite backgrounds! What some see as a deteriorating structure, I see as a building full of history, community, texture and interest. It includes everything you want in a small town engagement session!
Brittany and Nick love New Haven so much, they are marrying there as well. The nuptials will be held next October, and their reception will be held at the beautiful Boone Monument Village in Marthasville, MO. The morning of their session was very cold, so we joked around about what Missouri weather could bring the day of their “fall wedding.” As an example of the unpredictable conditions Missouri photographers must prepare for, I’m typing this post in November with snow on the ground! However, we were lucky to have fall color in Downtown New Haven for the shoot and it was a gorgeous setting . Does it look like the cold bothered this cute couple? Nope! They were able to keep each other nice and warm! I am looking forward to seeing these two again as a bride and groom!
