This sunset maternity session is nothing short of stunning! Oh. My. Goodness! Our first win: scheduling these pictures at Klondike Park in St. Charles County. It has a beautiful lake, white sand beaches, rock bluffs and greenery everywhere you look, even more so during the spring and summer. The second win: the family selecting apparel that matched the setting. The warm color palette popped against the water and sand. The third win: the loving interaction between them. Above all, I’m so grateful they asked me to capture this special time before baby makes 4!
Amazing light at a sunset maternity session.
I could shoot sessions like this all day long if the sun allowed it. The softness of the light and color during this golden hour of sunset is perfection! It is every photographer’s dream to capture this even light that is very flattering for portraits. It changes over the course of a session but that’s what makes it magical. I mean look at this beautiful family! Just look at them!! This momma herself is already glowing but you add in the landscape and lighting; I have no words. Well, actually I do…amazing, stunning, gorgeous!!
